About Goteo

Goteo.org is the civic crowdfunding platform powered by Fundación Platoniq since 2012, through which initiatives with social impact are financed -at regional, national and international level-, promotes cooperativism and reinforces the whole of the Social and Solidarity Economy. Therefore, the Foundation is a member of the XES (Social Economy Network of Catalonia).

Since its birth in 2011, more than €17 million have already been distributed and more than 1,800 projects with social impact have been successfully financed

It is a resource generation tool, drop by drop, for a community of communities made up of more than 300,000 people, with a funding success rate of over 83% (real-time statistics in Stats.goteo.org).

As a crowdfunding platform for donations and rewards, Goteo.org is a reference for numerous initiatives and social enterprises that want to access financing to start an economic activity, cover the costs of an action or citizen mobilization, validate an idea, consolidate a project of business, or prototyping products and services. On the other hand, it is a pioneering and innovative platform in transparency and distribution of public resources, with the creation of programs and calls Matchfunding  where the promoters of crowdfunding campaigns in Goteo receive other complementary funds from public entities according to the success of the campaign and citizen validation.

Goteo also stands out in the promotion of cooperativism with the creation in 2020 of the program  Crowdcoop.org for the formation and financing of cooperatives. It is currently being piloted from Catalonia and expansion is being sought in other interested communities.
